I am experiencing hot flashes at night, especially, and wondering how likely it is that I am in peri-menopause? ( pre menopause) I heard you can get symptoms years before you turn barren.

I’m starting to have symptoms of Menopause.
I’m only 41 but I had a hysterectomy when I was 30.
I still have 1 ovary.
But I’m dealing with moodiness alot more now than ever. And there is no good reason for my moodiness, everything in my life is absolutely perfect. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been.
I also deal with just the over-all not feeling well.
I’ve never been able to gain weight, I’ve always been under weight….just is natural in my family.
And now I’ve been putting on weight, which at first was great. But, o.k., the weight can stop now. And it’s not. I’m not liking it.
The only symptom I don’t really have are the hot flashes.
If this is Menopause or pre-menopause will the doctors give me anything now, or will I have to wait until it gets worse?
They did a hormone test on me a few months ago and it came back pre-menopause.
My doctor didn’t really seem like he wanted to do anything about it.
But I’m really miserable.
