I had ****** cancer at age 15,my mother died from it at age 52 so hormones are not advisable.I have been looking for a natural supplement because the palpatations, nausea and particulrly the hot flashes are driving me insane.I can be totally ***** over the A/C vent and sweat still pouring off me and it lasts for 10-30 minutes several times a day.I wake up at night trying to take my skin off cuz it’s too hot!GRRRRRR.The lack of sleep and embarrassment from this is making me emotional.I also have daily headaches.I have had SVT and been on ATENOLOL for 20 years so many herbs are dangerous for me.What can I do?????
Don’t take hormones. Take phytoestrogens, that are found in soy. Not only will they help with hot flashes, but also they PREVENT ****** cancer. That’s because there are two types of estrogen – let’s call it “good” estrogen and “bad” estrogen. “Bad” estrogen is the one that increases risk of ****** cancer, but “good” estrogen actually replaces the “bad” one, thus REDUCING that risk! Soy and beans (lentils, black beans and all other beans) are rich in “good” estrogen. You can of course take soy supplement from a reputable brand (try to buy it in Whole Foods or store like that). But most importantly, include beans (especially soy products, tofu, cultured soy and such) in your every day diet. Asian women, who have such diet, have much easier menopausal years and they are much less prone to ****** cancer!
Of course, using soy will totally kill your thyroid. Not a good option, in my opinion.
Please get a book called “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About ****** Cancer” by Dr. John Lee. He talks about natural progesterone use, and how it helps protect against female cancers.
You don’t have to stay away from hormones. You need to stay away from estrogen and synthetic hormones! Natural progesterone is the exact hormone that your body makes, so you can use it.
