Kimsthunder asked:
all the older women in my life had hysterectomies at my age, i really don’t know what to expect for a natural menopuasal process.
My mom is 53! She started menopause in her early 40’s!
You get a LOT of hot flashes is all I know! :]
I’m not a woman! why was i forced to answer this question??????
I never have to shave my legs anymore….there is no hair.
I don’t know, I’m 53 and still on the pill, so I haven’t really gone through it yet.
Hehe, im not 45 and but im 18 hehe, but well my mum and hysterectomy.
Well, what you would probably go through is a series of heavy bleeding for a couple of days, and i mean heavily heavy. You might have a slight ache in your tummy, after that it would probably go away, then that would be it i guess?-
This sounds scary but my mom started out with deppresion, for a while. After that she just was in a bad mood all the time. When she was done with the depression thing, and during the time period I started to suffer from it. Menopause was and is a scary freaky thing for me and im going into Junior high next year. But whatever happends is normal.
I have not had a hysterectomy, and went through the ‘pause with no weird problems. I was in mid fifties when I was smack in the middle of it, and I would say with in a year I was pretty much done with it. Sure I had the sweats, and they were pretty fierce at times, but doable. There have been some changes in my health since..like allergies popping up…I don’t think that I had them before. Now I find that my cholesterol is going up…I don’t think I had that problem before. It is so nice to go through the months and not have that certain week to contend with..whew..that is the best part of it. I do not take any hormones either. I keep my weight down and get lots of exercise. Maybe I am just one of the lucky ones but I didn’t have a hard time with it.
The most startling thing is all the body changes. I was looking forward to no more periods, until all the changes happened…. drier skin, thinning hair, loss of collagen & elastin in the skin, sagging boobage, fatigue, depression, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, harder to keep the weight off. Not everyone gets all of these…. my mom had no symptoms. I’ve had them all, darn it! Getting old is not for sissies!
hi i’m 47 and going through this as we speak hot flashes, dry ******..get some ky it will help give u some moister…mood swings,, no interst in ***..no more periods..etc
