It is not possible, even if possible it is not healthy at all
Yup, there are several ways, you will need to discuss it with your Doctor. But they can put you in an early menopause. They can put you on birth control such as depo provera, they can do a hysterectomy…… All require having an appointment with you obgyn and discussing the options and how they will affect you.
I’ve been looking into this myself. At 36, my periods are horrible because I have poly cystic ovaries.
Anyway, I found there is a newer procedure called endometrial ablation. It ends periods because it is a process that removes the endometrial lining of the uterus. Doctors can freeze it, burn it with hot water, or use electrical impulse to remove the lining. I was looking at NovaSure because this is the electrical impulse kind and has had a high success rate. And quite frankly, it sounds better than the freezing or the hot water balloon method. Supposidly doctors can do perform the procedure during the period (I don’t know about all that though). And it’s totally outpatient and you’re at the office for about an hour at the most.
Once done, you can’t get pregnant at all; so it’s totally like a hysterectomy. Some women who get it done have to get it done twice cause it doesn’t work the first time. Some women have to take hormones afterward.
If you do decide to get it done make sure it is by someone who has done a lot of them. They were saying that sometimes all the endometrial lining doesn’t get removed (the lining up toward the top) so if there is even a teeny tiny bit that was not removed you will still get that crazy period.
Hope this helps a little. Good luck
