Butterfly asked:
First of all this question is not about me it’s about someone I know. She wants to know if abrupt menopause(she had a total hysterectomy) is worse than natural.
I’ve searched on it but I can’t find the answer. Are the symptoms worse, different or the same as one who has a natural menopause?
YES! You don’t gradually go through a natural change process, you wake up from the operation in full menopause. Of course, I was only 32 when I had my complete hysterectomy and could not take hormones for 6 months-due to female issues. My main problem was I liked to sleep, and I got 2 or 3 hours of sleep starting the night after my surgery.
This is just my experience though- I wish your friend the best of luck!
